Electroalfa was visited by the Prime Minister of Romania
The Romanian Prime Minister Victor Ponta, the Deputy Prime Minister Liviu Dragnea and an official delegation visited Friday, May 16, the Electroalfa group of companies in Botosani. The President Gheorghe Ciubotaru and the company representatives presented the Steelwork Factory and the Electroalfa Research and Development Center to the officials.
The two objectives benefit from investments of more than EUR 9 million made in the last two years. The Steelwork Factory was extended and modernized and last generation software applications and machinery were purchased. Inaugurated in October 2013, the Research and Development Center includes a Prototype Workshop and a Laboratory where new products are manufactured and tested.
At the end of the meeting, the Prime Minister declared that he was pleasantly surprised by Electroalfa’s investments in research and development. “…I am surprised to see such a modern economic unit in Botosani. Everyone says there is only agriculture in Botosani, only the old people have remained here, the young people have all left and the county has no chance. I am glad even more because you trust Botosani, you have invested here and you are telling me that you will continue to create jobs.”
